About me

In the spring of 2020, I applied to GKS to do my master's degree in Korea. Unfortunately, this was just when Covid-19 was getting very serious, not making it any easier during the application process. Since a majority of universities (including mine) had to close their facilities during this time, I was not able to graduate the same semester, even though I had received the Global Korea Scholarship.

Thankfully, due to the circumstances the scholarship was postponed 6 months, and I was able to graduate with my bachelor, and arrive in Korea in the beginning of 2021.

After 6 months of Korean classes, I moved to Seoul and did my master in engineering at Seoul National University.

During this experience, I've seen the good and the bad sides of GKS and living in Korea as a foreigner. Therefore, I want to give a heads-up on the details to all of you interested in such a journey.

- Cheers!
